These chains work great in the snow. I drove about 20 miles in a Northern Vermont snow squall using these chains. Unfortunately, I noticed, when I was taking them off, that the cable that holds the chains on the side of the tire was broken after using them this one time. I will be contacting Thule ASAP to discuss warranty coverage. They run about 165 - 170 bucks a pair.

Overall chains are excellent. They got me out of a few jams in NYC's several 2011 snowstorms. Putting these chains on is a cinch. Taking them off is more difficult since it's difficult to find the yellow latch piece behind the wheel. Also it's very easy to gets part of the chain tangled with each other so special care is necessary when trying to store the chains away. My only wish is that there were chains that allowed driving over 30mph. But that's a limitation of all chains. Overall good reliable chains. Easy to put on, some what difficult to take off and when in use must be driven below 30mph.

I love how easy these chains are to put on and remove. Do yourself a favor and practice a couple of times in the daylight in good weather and that will make it even easier for you in the snow. I got these for my wife's Honda Civic and they work great. They go on quickly and the car goes like a tank in the snow. Are these Thule chains worth the extra money? At 5 in the morning when it's bitter cold and snowing and you don't want to spend a lot of time fighting with those cheaper chains... Heck yes!
